🇧🇠Bahrain's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) published a Position Paper on the Use of Licence-Exempt Frequency Bands on 1 July 2026.
The paper provides guidance on frequency bands that can be operated without an individual spectrum licence, subject to specific technical and regulatory conditions — covering technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other short-range wireless devices.
The publication brings greater clarity to manufacturers, importers and users on the applicable requirements for operating wireless equipment in Bahrain without a dedicated frequency licence.
